#NO SOUND IN SKYPE CALL UPDATE#
Please update your Office 2016 to the latest version ,make sure it is “click to run” or “MSI”. We have been having this issue for the past 3 months or so. We obviously can't have reboot as a permanent fix for this, for now the workaround is for users to use the virtualized App-v Lync 2010, but i would like to have this fixed on 2016 so its consistent. Having this random issue and the only fix is to reboot the machine having the issue, then it starts working. Everything is the same everywhere, same image, same policies, same settings, even same audio devices, but Skype 2016 is the only application Everything works except Skype for business 2016, sometimes.Īnyone have any idea what to do? I couldn't find registry differences, setting differences, policy differences, etc. Calls work on Avaya, Zoom, Webex,Įven a virtulized App-v Lync 2010. Nothing in the options to check, and obviously in Sounds everything is there and working. However, sometimes, randomly on 1 or 2 machines, Skype for business 2016 gets No Audio Device Connected and no once can use Skype Call.

The Citrix HDX works just as expected, redirecting client audio headphones and mic's.

We have a Xenapp Terminal services kind of VDI environment on 2012R2 with Office 2016 installed on the image. We have a bit of a weird issue with Skype for business 2016.
